Prasar Bharati is an autonomous statutory body established by an Act of Parliament, serving as India’s public broadcaster. Our mission is to provide a fair and balanced flow of information on matters of public interest, free from opinion or bias.

Operating under the aegis of Prasar Bharati, Doordarshan and Akashvani deliver comprehensive coverage of both international and domestic news. Our programming emphasizes critical areas such as education, literacy, agriculture, rural development, environment, health and family welfare, and science and technology.
